The Hidden Gem @ Rye is a cosy, pet-friendly holiday house, perfect for small families with young children. Just a short drive to the beach, shops, playgrounds, and cafes, it features a fully renovated kitchen and bathroom, plus a bath, high chair, change table, and portacot. We know your family dog is part of the family, and they’re welcome too — with Leonie as your attentive host, every stay is easy and memorable.

The Hidden Gem at Rye is located in the tranquil Tyrone Beach region of the Mornington Peninsula. It's a 20 minute walk to the calm waters on the Tyrone foreshore where there are toilets and a shower available. If you have young kids there is a great playground a short 10 minute stroll from the house. We are a 4 minute drive from the beach and a 4 minute drive from the Rye shops.

You have access to the house and garden. and the garage. It has been converted to a play room with a table tennis table that all guests can enjoy.

The house opens up to a lovely flat backyard perfect for spending time on the verandah. Have a BBQ with friends and family whilst you watch the kids play happily on the large expansive lawn. Reverse cycle AC is located in living area and main bedroom. Second queen bedroom has ceiling fan and third bedroom has electric fan. All bedrooms have electric heaters. We can provide high chair, portacot and change table free of charge. Please request on booking.

BYO linen for portacot We have a security camera on the driveway for the safety of our guests. We have a springfree trampoline which is available for guests to use at their own risk. Fast broadband internet. Smart TV Early check-in and late-checkout if available will be charged at $25 per hour Our garden is a work in progress. Extensions to the back deck and pergola are the next projects.

Nous avons passé notre premier séjour en famille de quatre chez Léonie. L'endroit était extrêmement adapté aux enfants et très accueillant pour les animaux. Les livres ont donné une ambiance très chaleureuse. Notre aîné (2 ans et demi) a adoré le trampoline. Un séjour très agréable. We had our first stay away as a family of four in Leonie’s place. It was extremely kid friendly and very pet friendly. The books made it feel very homely. Our eldest (2 and a half) loved the trampoline. A lovely stay.

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique chez Leonie avec notre jeune famille. Un endroit et une propriété vraiment super. Excellent séjour pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants ! Le trampoline était une grande nouveauté pour nos garçons (tous deux de moins de 5 ans) et ils ont adoré l'espace extérieur pour faire du vélo et jouer. Les enfants se sont amusés à jouer à la pétanque pendant que nous avons profité d'une partie de badminton. Le matelas du lit principal était incroyablement confortable – nous avons eu le meilleur sommeil. Dans l'ensemble, un séjour vraiment agréable, merci. Great stay for families with young kids! The trampoline was a big novelty for our boys (both under 5) and they loved the yard space for riding bikes and playing. The kids enjoyed playing bowls while we had fun with a game of badminton. The main bed mattress was incredibly comfortable - we had the best sleep. Overall a really enjoyable stay thank you.

Great location for a long weekend getaway. The place was thoughtfully set up to cater to both our dog and our 1-year-old, which made the stay genuinely relaxing. Leonie was wonderful to deal with — incredibly responsive and made every effort to accommodate us and ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Everything was exactly as advertised, but the level of care and service went well beyond expectations. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it.
